Thanks to a clear M25, we all made it to Gatwick nice and early and in time to watch some rugby. Luckily we didn't get a chance to watch the England game and witness our defeat to the Irish!! In Dubai, we found Jonno and JJ who completed our group for the week.
On arrival in Male, we were met by Al and Becky then taken by dhoni to Blue Honors Legacy, our floating home for 7 nights. We had time to chill, sort out our gear then hit the bar, which was going to be well used throughout the week.
6 days of diving followed where we experienced numerous sharks, a few mantas, eagle rays, some strong currents, two wrecks, two night dives and some amazingly beautiful soft coral. The elusive whalesharks were sadly elusive (apart from the sand sculptures) but overall we were lucky with the dives and viz.
Our one evening on land was enjoyed by all. Volleyball skills amongst the group varied but at least we gave the locals something to laugh at! The BBQ was lovely as was the use of the hot tub when we returned to the boat. (Enjoyed longer by some than others!)
Thanks to everyone for coming on the trip and for making the week so much fun. We had some great dives, a lot of laughs and some hysterical drinking games!

* Mike Hobbs for doing his 100th dive, but he prefered his 101st!!
* JJ for getting the biggest bar bill and still managing every dive on the trip (only accomplished by a few in our group!)
* Al for getting the compressor working when the "Nitrox Professor" didn't show up!
